From now on, when buying ten 90-minute tickets, they will be loaded onto a non-personalised e-ticket
In order to make travelling by public transport in Riga more convenient and promote environmental sustainability, from now on, when purchasing a 90-minute or a monthly ticket, it will be loaded onto a non-personalised e-ticket as opposed to the yellow e-tickets, thus allowing customers to use their e-ticket multiple times and reduce the consumption of the yellow e-tickets. There are no changes for those who use personalised e-tickets or Rīdzinieka karte to buy their tickets; these e-ticket types can be used as before. All tickets bought via an e-ticket must be used within 12 months of purchase.
Loading ten-trip tickets into the non-personalised e-ticket will be convenient for passengers who use public transport in Riga regularly, but not daily, and who used to secure trips using the yellow e-tickets. The non-personalised e-ticket is valid for 10 years, so it can be regularly topped up with the necessary type of ticket – monthly, time-limited or day ticket.
Ten 90-minute tickets or a monthly ticket can be purchased on the non-personalised e-ticket at more than 400 points of sale. Ten 90-minute tickets cost €15.00.
Passengers, regardless of whether they use a time-limited, day, code or monthly ticket, must register it immediately when boarding public transport in Riga. Tickets must be re-registered whenever boarding another means of transport.
